Piola Pastificio

A small neighborhood trattoria serving incredible fresh pasta dishes. Seating is limited, so keep an eye on their Instagram for updates on last-minute cancellations.

Lille Bakery

Probably the most photographed bakery in Copenhagen, and for good reason. Beautifully located with truly delicious baked goods. Just be prepared, you might have to wait in line.

Silberbauers Bistro

A cozy neighborhood restaurant with an authentic French bistro feel. The food is unpretentious and incredibly delicious. They welcome walk-ins, but we recommend booking to be safe.

Et Cetera

An intimate little spot worth a visit if you’re after something other than the classic BMO (bun with cheese). Go here to enjoy an experimental, Korean-inspired breakfast.

Chinese at its best. The place doesn’t look like much, but it serves the best dim sum in town.

If you’re in need of a warm hug in a bowl, this is the place. Bold flavors, great broth, and worth arriving early to avoid the line.

Baka d’ busk

Run by a group of friends who call themselves the plant boys. The guys are known for kicking off dinner with a vodka shot or two to cleanse the palate. A cozy vegetarian bistro that always serves up a great atmosphere.

It can be tricky to get a table, but it’s well worth the wait for a taste of their traditional Tuscan-inspired dishes.

A beloved bakery and coffee shop with an understated vibe, and possibly one of the best ice creams in town.

A grocery shop focused on organic produce. In the evenings, it transforms into a cozy wine bar, often with live music, vinyl records, and a laid-back vibe.

A half-hidden favorite serving traditional Japanese food. Take a seat on their tatami mats and enjoy a little slice of Japan.

Walk-ins only! A fantastic wine bar and eatery with a strong selection of natural wines and experimental dishes from around the world. Try to snag a window seat, perfect for people-watching.

Tucked away in vibrant Nørrebro, this gem serves some of the best Middle Eastern breakfast and lunch in the city, at very affordable prices.

Tucked under Knippelsbro and right by the water, this atmospheric natural wine bar is perfect on a sunny day. Great selection of wines and a relaxed vibe.

All the way out in Amager, but worth the trip—this former bodega has been transformed into a laid-back bar with natural wine, beer, and cocktails. Keep an eye on their program for wine tastings, chef collaborations, and more.

Café Stjernen

This spot has hosted bars since 1958. A casual and unpretentious place where locals, both young and old, meet over a cold draft beer.

Café Riga

A local favorite. This tiny shack has just a handful of tables and parasols. If you don’t manage to get a seat at the bar, grab your drink and enjoy it on the big grassy lawn out front.

Rouge Oysters 

A relaxed oyster and wine bar with walk-ins only. Come for the oysters and wine, stay for the atmosphere.

Ved Stranden 10

Perfect after a shopping spree in the city centre. This wine bar has a thoughtful selection and sits right by the canal, making it the ideal place to enjoy a cold glass in the Copenhagen sun.

A small, somewhat secret green oasis in central Copenhagen. The perfect spot to bring lunch and read a book, surrounded by Christiansborg and the beautiful old library.

Denmark’s oldest art house cinema. A bohemian, intimate spot with a cozy bar. They serve coffee, beer, and indie titles you might not find anywhere else.
